CORE Lung Competency Declaration

This statement allows Independent Practitioners who were certified before December 31st, 2017 to add the use of Lung (detection of pneumothorax and hemothorax/pleural effusion) to their CORE certification without having to log scans or be examined independently.

PLEASE NOTE: All new* CORE IP candidates certified from January 1st, 2018, MUST have the required number of scans proctored by a CORE IP who is certified in Lung. These candidates must also complete the new (as of October 1, 2017) CPoCUS Emergency Medicine CORE examination series, including the Lung components, to become an Independent Practitioner. They cannot use this form.

*past CPoCUS IPs can continue to use this form after January 1st, 2018 as long they were certified prior to this date.

This is only visible to current IPs who have paid their annual membership dues.
